www.newmove.ie Newmove commenced business in early 2003 and one of the first potential obstacles we had to overcome was the implementation of a workable IT strategy on a low budget that required minimal input from myself.
From my previous experience of IT recruitment solutions, I knew I had a daunting task ahead of me and realised I would have to probably compromise on some, if not most, of the key issues. That was until I got a recommendation from an ex colleague to contact a company called Arithon. I soon learned Arithon could offer me a solution that gave me everything I required.
Most attractive of all was the remote management of the database using ASP technology. This gave me the opportunity to fully focus on my core business, which I knew would be critical to our survival and subsequent growth. This was followed closely by their unique 'pay as you go' pricing structure. The obvious advantage of this was how well it suited our early growth budget. The cost was easily incoporated into each individual's monthly revenue stream. The less obvious, though more important, long-term advantage was how this pricing structure directly influenced Arithon's interest in our own success. Simply put, as we expand-they sign up more users. This I believe has had a direct bearing on how successful our relationship is today and the sincere long-term approach Arithon offers as a business partner.
One last point is the system's reliability. This is something we all take for granted as our expectations, due to available technologies, are high and during the few incidents of downtime we have experienced with Arithon, I have been prompted to remind myself of working with previous IT recruitment systems that would be down for a couple of hours a day and never had access to the efficient support structure we have from Arithon today. It's times like that you know that you're onto a good thing!
